Our History
Established in 1995, Westcoast Properties is one of the most successful independent and family-run estate agencies in the area. Developed initially through the running and management of a professional property portfolio, expansion occurred through a strategic programme of branch openings. Weston-Super-Mare was the first office, with Burnham-on-Sea, Portishead and Nailsea following soon after. Our continued growth has led to the opening of our most recent office in Patchway, North Bristol.
The Westcoast strategy has always been to focus on a customer-centred approach that streamlines every transaction and exceeds the industry norm. Built on this core value, our longevity gives clients confidence that they are liaising with a highly-regarded and reliable company.
We are also members of the Experts in Property, which means by instructing us to market your home, you’ll get nearly 100 other independent estate agents marketing your home throughout the Westcountry. What’s more, your property will be seen on all of their web-sites as well as www.theexpertsinproperty.co.uk
Our proven track record, emphasis on employee development and robust infrastructure has ensured our success for more than twenty years; when it comes to selling or letting your property you can rely on us.
Whilst Westcoast is an independent estate agency we are members of both the National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA) and the Association of Residential Lettings Agents (ARLA). Membership of these recognised and prestigious trade bodies is evidence of our adherence to recognised codes of business conduct and a high standard of competence.
It is the policy of West Coast to operate responsibly and professionally. This includes compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to its activities, including competition and relevant trading and consumer protection laws.
Our Local Area
With high-street branches in Portishead, Nailsea, Weston-Super-Mare, Burnham-on-Sea and Patchway in North Bristol, our network of qualified, highly-trained employees are on hand to work with you every step of the way.
Portishead
Portishead, whose name derives from “port at the head of the river”, is a pleasant town which has experienced rapid population expansion over recent years, mainly due to the new housing around the marina development. A vibrant community, the town benefits from good schools, fantastic amenities and good transport links to Bristol, the motorway and beyond. More traditional architecture can be found in the Victorian high street. The combination of the traditional and contemporary ensures a diverse and buoyant property market.
Nailsea
Residents in Nailsea and the surrounding villages benefit from an easy commute into central Bristol, by either road or rail. There are also a number of larger employers in the town enabling many residents to work on their doorstep. The area is within close proximity to the motorway network, excellent schools and amenities combined with the attraction of country living and nearby nature reserves. Nailsea continues to be a popular location in which to live, leading to continuously stimulated demand for housing, both for sale and to rent.
Weston-Super-Mare
Much of the architecture here was created using local stone from the old Town Quarry, giving it a distinctly regional feel. Weston-Super-Mare, whilst always associated with tourism, now has a more mixed economy with large employers and an award-winning college. With good rail and road links, a wealth of new housing on the outskirts of the town along with wonderful villas and examples of Art Deco property, Weston-Super-Mare continues to be a favoured town in which to live - making property here highly marketable.
Burnham-on-Sea
The beach has always held an attraction for tourists, but Burnham-on-Sea is a residential town in its own right outside of the holiday season. With a thriving high street that features both national and independent brandsand a new housing development to the east of the town and in nearby Highbridge, the town retains its appeal as a sought-after location, reflected in the demand for high-quality residential sales and rental properties.
Patchway, North Bristol
North Bristol’s close proximity to large employers and business parks, excellent transport links, access to the city centre, local amenities and open spaces makes it a great place to live and work. Close enough to benefit from the attractions, leisure facilities and shopping opportunities of Bristol, yet retaining its own unique community feel, Patchway and the surrounding areas continue to be popular places for property purchasers seeking their new home.
