Property industry 'boosted by return of sellers'

Indications that more sellers are returning to the market may be
good news for those looking at property for sale in Tiverton, it has been
suggested.
Peter Bolton King, chief executive of the National Association of
Estate Agents, commented on recently-released figures from
Nationwide which show that house prices are on the up.
He claims that over the past few months there has been an increase
in demand among buyers.
However, he believes that rising house prices show the return of
sellers to the market.
Mr Bolton King continued: "As sellers come onto the market we may
see a levelling out of house prices, but we will also see a far
firmer foundation for a real market recovery."
The data from Nationwide revealed that during October, house prices
increase by 0.4 per cent, which means that the average house now
costs £162,038.
This is a two per cent rise on figures for the same time last
year.
