More property 'to be built in UK'

People seeking to purchase property in the UK may welcome
predictions made by one expert that the number of homes being built
in the country is to rise.
According to Nick Whitten, business editor at Construction News,
the quantity of new housing starts will increase throughout the
remainder of this year.
His comments follow the release of research conducted by the
Department for Communities and Local Government, which revealed
that the number of new housing starts went up by 13 per cent in the
first three months of the year compared with the previous
quarter.
He went on to say that the market would be further boosted if
mortgage lending in Britain became less restricted.
Mr Whitten remarked: "There really still isn't that many products
out there for first-time buyers and obviously the first-time buyers
get the market moving so there still needs to be an increase in
mortgage availability."
